Privacy Policy

This page explains what information MyDreamSoft collects when you visit this website or contact us on WhatsApp, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short, plain, and honest.

01 · Who we are

MyDreamSoft is a custom software studio. We design, build, and launch custom websites and mobile applications for our clients. The only way to reach us is through WhatsApp; the phone number we use for WhatsApp is not displayed as visible text anywhere on this website.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to MyDreamSoft. If you need the registered business name or address for a formal request, message us on WhatsApp and we'll send it to you directly.

02 · What information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to talk to you and to deliver work if you hire us. In practice, that breaks down into three categories.

A. Information you give us directly

  • WhatsApp messages. Whatever you send us in the chat: your name (if you share it), any phone number WhatsApp already shows us, project descriptions, files (briefs, screenshots, designs), and replies.
  • Project details. If a project goes ahead, the materials you share with us to do the work: brand assets, content, source files, credentials needed to deploy.
  • Feedback. Anything you tell us about how the engagement went, written or recorded.

B. Information from your enquiry

When you write to us on WhatsApp, we receive the contents of your messages and the phone number you message us from (WhatsApp shows us this automatically). We do not see your WhatsApp contacts, your WhatsApp profile photo, your WhatsApp status, or any group you're in.

C. Technical information from this website

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records basic request metadata: your IP address, the page you visited, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. Logs are kept for a short, defined period for security and debugging.
  • Fonts. This site loads its typeface (Geist) from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address when the font file is requested. See Third-party services.
We do not run advertising trackers, pixel-based retargeting, or behavioural analytics on this site. There is no Meta Pixel, no Google Analytics, no Hotjar, no session-replay tool.

03 · How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your WhatsApp messages and continue the conversation with you.
  • Scope a project with you and prepare a proposal.
  • Deliver the work if you hire us: design, build, deploy, host, and support.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of this website.
  • Meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations that apply to us.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not use it to train AI models.

04 · WhatsApp

WhatsApp is our only contact channel. When you message us on WhatsApp, Meta (WhatsApp's parent company) handles the delivery of your messages to us. Meta's processing is governed by WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy.

We receive the contents of the messages you send us and the phone number you message us from (WhatsApp shows us this automatically). We do not see your WhatsApp contacts, your WhatsApp profile photo, your WhatsApp status, or any group you're in. We do not add you to marketing lists.

Our WhatsApp messages are stored on the device we use to run the studio and in WhatsApp's cloud backup on that device, both protected by the device's screen lock and two-factor authentication on the WhatsApp account.

05 · Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to run this site and the studio. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job.

  • Hosting provider. Stores the website files and serves them to your browser. Receives your IP address on every request. Retains access logs for a short period.
  • Google Fonts. Serves the typeface for this site. Google receives your IP address when the font file is requested. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • WhatsApp (Meta). Carries the conversation between you and us. See WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting for client projects. If we build and host a website or backend for you, we use infrastructure providers (such as a major cloud platform) to run that project. Those providers have their own privacy and security terms, which we walk you through as part of the engagement.

We do not embed third-party widgets that track you: no social embeds that phone home, no comment systems, no analytics scripts.

06 · Cookies and analytics

This site does not set any cookies of its own. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Plausible, Fathom, or any other analytics tool. We do not run advertising retargeting.

Your browser may cache static files (CSS, JavaScript, fonts) for performance; that is controlled by your browser, not by us. We do not read or use that cache.

07 · Data sharing

We share your information only with the processors listed above, only to the extent needed to deliver the service, and only under written agreements that limit what each processor can do with it.

We will disclose information if we are legally required to (a valid court order, a tax authority with a proper request, an enforcement agency acting within the law). We will tell you about any such request unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your information.

08 · Data retention

  • WhatsApp messages. Kept for the duration of our conversation, plus the time needed to deliver the project you hired us for. Project-related messages are kept for up to 2 years after the engagement ends for warranty, support, and accounting reasons; you can ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Project files and source code. Kept for the duration of the engagement and the agreed support period, then archived or deleted depending on what you ask us to do. You always own the project files; the retention here is about our copy.
  • Accounting and tax records. Kept for the period required by the tax law that applies to us (typically 5–7 years).
  • Server logs. Kept for up to 30 days, then deleted.

09 · Your rights

You can ask us to do any of the following at any time. Message us on WhatsApp and we will reply.

  • Access. Send you the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction. Fix anything that's wrong or incomplete.
  • Deletion. Delete the personal information we hold, subject to the retention periods above (accounting and tax records we must keep).
  • Export. Send you a copy of your project files and any chat transcripts in a portable format.
  • Stop messaging. Stop contacting you. We will, unless there is an active engagement that requires it.

We respond to rights requests within 30 days. If your request is complex, we will tell you why and how long we reasonably need.

10 · International data transfers

Our team and our hosting are located in Malaysia and Singapore. Some of our processors (Google Fonts, the cloud providers we use for client projects) may process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. By contacting us, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries.

Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms for cross-border transfers.

11 · Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information:

  • Our devices are screen-locked and full-disk encrypted.
  • Our WhatsApp account uses two-factor authentication.
  • Source code and project credentials are stored in a password manager, never on paper, never in chat.
  • Access to project materials is limited to the engineers working on the project.
  • Client deployments use HTTPS and follow current security practice for the stack.

No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong on our side that affects your information, we will tell you.

12 · Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through WhatsApp, message us and we will delete it.

13 · Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:

  • Change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
  • For material changes (changes to what we collect, how we use it, or who we share it with), send a message to active clients on WhatsApp before the change takes effect.

The previous versions of this policy are available on request.

14 · Contact

The only way to contact us is on WhatsApp. Use the Chat on WhatsApp button on this site to start a conversation. We read every message and reply personally.

For privacy-specific requests (access, deletion, export, anything in Your rights), open the chat and start with the word "Privacy" so it routes to the right person.
